The vibrant opulence of exotic blossoms and plant experiments by pioneers of photography: both were the inspiration for the design process for the colourful Hering Berlin Collection "Palmhouse X". For months, porcelain designer Stefanie Hering studied x-ray images of tropical flowers, which form the "skeleton" of the decoration. This was followed by lengthy experiments to develop colours which, even after the firing process, look as if they had been painted in watercolours. The result delights fans of exquisite table culture as well as top chefs or the strict expert juries of two design awards. Because what Stefanie Hering set out to do with this collection was a perfect success. "Flowers and petals are often used as table decorations. We wanted to go one step further. With a decoration that gives the impression of eating directly from flowers.
