Gal Ben Moshe
"Take your pleasure seriously" is the motto of the Berlin restaurant Prism by Gal Ben Moshe, who breaks the perspective on Middle Eastern cuisine with his culinary creations - like a prism breaks the light. In Berlin, the Israeli-born chef (16 points in Gault&Millau) has found a home where he can live and work across cultures. In Prism he sets the standard for modern Levantine cuisine; specialities from the Middle East, convivial, creative and with plenty of room for interpretation. Central European influences give Prism cuisine a special flavour, much loved by all those who like to think outside the box. The unconventional porcelain design by Stefanie Hering matches this perfectly. "The shape basically focuses attention directly on the centred food. They're plates that flatter what you put on them," Moshe says. "It's probably the only porcelain collection I've worked with that's made with a perspective that has a lot of knowledge about gastronomy, both for the chef and the customer experience. It's pure magic."
